RALSTON HIGH SCHOOL
BASEBALL/SOFTBALL FIELDS and
CONCESSION STAND/
RESTROOMS/PRESS BOX

PROJECT INFORMATION. Douglas County School District No. 28-0054, commonly known as Ralston Public Schools (the “District”), is requesting bids from qualified individuals or entities to construct two synthetic athletics fields (Field Work). The District is also requesting a separate bid for a concession / restroom / press box building (Press Box) on the Ralston High School campus. The project site will be available immediately upon the District issuing a Notice to Proceed, with construction to commence on or about September 20, 2022 on the baseball field and October 20, 2022 on the softball field. The district’s goal for substantial completion of the field work project is August 15, 2023. Substantial completion of the “Press box” project must be completed by September 30, 2023. Bidders must submit bids for the “Field Work” and the “Press Box” separately to be considered. This does not preclude any bidders from bidding on both projects. Bidders may propose an alternative date for substantial completion and such date, if any, must be included on the Bid Form that the Bidder submits.
PRE-BID CONFERENCE. Bidders may attend a pre-bid conference on August 15, 2022, at 9:00 am local time at Ralston High School, 8969 Park Drive, Ralston, NE 68127, to familiarize themselves with the site conditions, bidding requirements, General/Supplementary Conditions of Construction, and to ensure comprehension of the specifications. Architect and Civil Engineer will provide responses to bidders’ questions posed at Pre-Bid Conference by Addendum.
BID SUBMISSION AND OPENING. Bids must be made on the bid form contained in the Bidding Documents. One (1) completed copy of the bid form, signed by the bidder, shall be addressed and delivered to Ralston Public Schools, Attn: Asst. Sup’t Buckingham, 8545 Park Drive, Ralston, NE 68127. Bids should be clearly marked either “Field Work” or “Press Box”. Bids will be received until 1:00 pm local time on August 25, 2022. Bid opening for the field work project will take place at 1:00 pm, and bid opening for the building construction will take place at 1:15 pm. Bid opening will take place in the presence of bidders and/or their representatives. Faxed bids are not allowed. Any bid received after the deadline will not be opened or considered and will be returned to bidder.
AWARDING OF BID(s). The bid(s) will be awarded to the lowest responsible, responsive bidder(s). The winning bid shall be announced by the Board of Education at its meeting to be held on September 12, 2022, or at such other meeting determined by the Board.
BIDDING DOCUMENTS. On or after August 5, 2022, the Bidding Documents may be examined, accessed, and obtained as follows:

Bidding Documents will be available between the hours of 8:00 am and 12:00 noon and 1:00 pm and 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. All Bidders who require hard copies of Bidding Documents shall place an order directly with A & D Technical Supply and shall pay all costs associated with printing and, if applicable, all shipping costs. Only full and complete sets will be printed; partial set orders are not allowed. Hard copy Bidding Documents do not need to be returned as no refund will be issued.
