NOTICE OF BUDGET HEARING, TAX REQUEST HEARING,

AND SPECIAL BOARD MEETING

PLATTSMOUTH SCHOOL DISTRICT #1, CASS COUNTY

PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that the Plattsmouth Community Schools #1 Board of Education, Cass County, Nebraska, will hold a Budget Hearing at 6:00 PM, followed by a Special Meeting and Tax Request Hearing at 6:10 PM, on Mon., Sept. 23, 2024. The hearings and meeting will be held in the Plattsmouth Community Schools Administration Center, 1912 Old Hwy. 34, Plattsmouth, Nebraska. The purposes of the hearings and meeting are to hold a hearing relative to the proposed tax request, hold a budget hearing relative to the proposed budget, approve the 2024-2025 tax request, and approve the 2024-2025 budget. Another purpose, in compliance with the provisions of Section 5 of 2023 Neb. Law 243 is to discuss, consider, and possibly vote to approve an increase to the school district’s property tax request authority by an additional six percent, or other maximum amount as permitted by law, above the base growth percentage. The hearings and meeting are open to the public. The agenda for the meeting shall be kept continually current and is readily available for public inspection at the Superintendent’s office during normal business hours and at www.pcsd.org.
