NOTICE TO PUBLIC
The Omaha-Council Bluffs Metropolitan Area Planning Agency (MAPA) seeks public comment on an amendment to its FY2025 Transportation Improvement Program, which will add three regional transportation projects and increase the funding for a fourth project. The public comment period runs Dec. 12, 2024, to Dec. 19, 2024.
The projects include:
Funding increase:
• City of Omaha Signal Infrastructure Phase F2
Projects added:
• City of Council Bluffs Benton Street Bridge Reconstruction over Indian Creek
• Nebraska Department of Transportation US-275/72nd St. Intersection Reconstruction
• City of Omaha Signal Infrastructure Phase G1
Projects removed due to funding being obligated in FY2024:
• Nebraska Department of Transportation I-680, 2-B High Mast Tower Replacement
• Nebraska Department of Transportation I-680, 2-C High Mast Tower Replacement

NOTICE TO PUBLIC
The Metropolitan Area Planning Agency (MAPA) seeks public comment on an amendment to its FY2025 Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP). The amendment will update federal transit funding amounts and consolidate budget programs. The public comment period runs Dec. 12, 2024 to Dec. 19, 2024.
The Unified Planning Work Program outlines MAPA’s transportation-related activities and projects for the 2025 fiscal year (July 1, 2024-June 30, 2025).
It covers MAPA’s transportation planning activities for the metropolitan planning area in Douglas and Sarpy Counties in Nebraska and western Pottawattamie County in Iowa.
The Work Program amendment will:
· Increase the amount of funding from the Federal Transit Administration, which is passed through the Nebraska Department of Transportation to MAPA, from $511,919 to $640,772
· Consolidate budget programs from 12 to four
