NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Omaha, Nebraska, will hold public hearings on July 30, 2019, at 2:00 PM in Legislative Chambers, 1819 Farnam Street, Omaha, Nebraska 68183. The purpose of these hearings is to consider approval of:
 
Class “CK” Liquor License for Omaha Design Center, LLC, dba “Empire Room”, located at 200 South 31^st Avenue, Suite 4107.
 
Class “C” Liquor License for BHSB, LLC, dba “13^th Street Brickhouse”, located at 2202 South 13^th Street.
 
Class “C” Liquor License for Fala’s, LLC, dba “Fala’s Wine & Cheese”, located at 2627 North 205^th Street.

NOTICE INVITING BIDS
The City of Omaha, acting as Agent for the owner, invites bids for the LEAD HAZARD CONTROL OF DWELLING UNIT at:
2814 Madison St.
Closing Time:  3:00 P.M., Wednesday, July 31, 2019
Sealed bids are invited and will be received on or before the closing time, as per specifications on file in the office of Rehab Division of the Planning Department, Room 1111, Omaha/Douglas Civic Center.
Sealed bids to be addressed to Rehabilitation Division, Room 1111, Omaha/Douglas Civic Center marked "Bid on LEAD HAZARD CONTROL OF DWELLING UNIT,” with the address and job number identified, must be on file in this office on or before 3:00 P.M. on the closing date, at which time the bids will be opened and read by the Rehab Division before bidders and the public in Room 1111, Omaha/Douglas Civic Center.
Attention is called to the fact that not less than minimum salaries and wages as specified by the U.S. Secretary of Labor as set forth in the specification may be paid on the rehabilitation work.  The contractor must, furthermore, ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color or creed, sex or national origin.
The bidder must file a certificate of insurance with the Rehab Division evidencing comprehensive public liability insurance coverage protecting the property owner for not less than $1,000,000 per occurrence, $2,000,000 aggregate arising out of the work performed by the contractor.  Evidence of workman's compensation insurance must be shown prior to receipt of the order to proceed with the work.
The owner reserves the right to accept, reject, or negotiate any or all bids in whole or in part.

Notification of Project Contractor Meeting: Engage and Learn About the Project
The City of Omaha would like to notify its intent to invite contractors to discuss and learn about the upcoming OPW 52783 Leavenworth Lift Station Flood Mitigation – Rebid project.
The purpose of this Project is to divert the Leavenworth Outfall Sewer dry weather sanitary flow, and some wet weather combined flow, around the Leavenworth Lift Station Diversion Structure No. 1. This eliminates the risk of water from the Missouri River entering the lift station from Diversion Structure No. 1 over extended periods. The project involves excavation of bore shafts, shoring and bracing, trenchless sewer installation, construction of a cast in place structure, construction of sewer pipe and a manhole, installation of a modulating sluice gate, and all related controls and appurtenances for the work. The more significant project components include:
• 1500 CY Earthwork Haul Off
• 2000 CY Embankment Borrow
• 6000 SFF Shoring and Bracing
• 110 LF Tunneling 30-INCH Diameter Clay Jacking Pipe
• Cast in Place Diversion Structure
• 72-INCH Diameter Manhole
• 20 LF - 30-INCH Diameter RJ - DIP and 11.25° RJ DIP Elbow Fitting
• 30 LF 36-INCH Diameter T-Lock Lined RCP
• Division Structure No. 1 Cage Ladder and Bar Screen
The work is located east of the intersection of 6^th Street and Leavenworth Street in Omaha on the south side of the Breakers Building located at the east end of Leavenworth Street.
